Chrysler Newport

This was my everyday driver until the rear differential started making noises, so I had to get another car. (That's the '68 Fury III) I bought this fine example of comfort in Spring '99. She'd been garaged for many years, and is still very clean inside and underneath considering it is parked on the street. When I got her the odometer had less then 54K (now 64k)  on a 383ci. 2 bbl. that is as stock as could be! A really nice riding car!
I finally replaced the rear diff and bolted on a set of re-arced rear leaf springs, both of which I got a off a '67 Newport convertible. I must admit that the ride has been greatly improved, as the car now sits like a tank. With a full set of KYB gas shocks installed, all I need now are decent tires and maybe wider rims.
I even found the Original Build Sheet under the back seat. (Click on the image below for a larger version.)
This fine Michigan car was found on the web when I needed a picture of one to email a friend in California, so he could properly visualize my newest acquisition! The owner was nice enough to provide me with some history:  The car was bought new in Ann Arbor Michigan in April 1969.  Mom drove the car until November 1975 (Dad had the 'Cuda in the background) then they purchased new a '76 Chrysler Cordoba. Thanks for the info Derek!
