Elegant, mean and powerful!

This was my first Mopar and only (to date) convertible. It had a 440ci. 4bbl, and was completely stock except for the electronic ignition I installed along with a new Holley 750. The interior black bucket seats and a console was really comfortable. I kick myself every time I look at these pictures, as it was a sad day when I sold it!

What a ride it was! There is just something about your first Big Block! The power, the noise, the torque, the races YOU WILL get into to! I never put duals on it, and I should of because I am still reminded of the bib block I had with out duals!. What she would of been like then! The mostly original engine had over 150 K, and it blew a little smoke, but for the most part ran smooth. In the 5+ years I owned it, she only twice left me stranded, of which one I was to blame and the other was an electrical problem I never did figure out. In retrospect, I'm sure it was something simple like a bad ignition or starter relay.

The second weekend I owned it, I ripped apart the entire brake system. The Master Cylinder and the Drums were the only things not replaced. I ran all new lines, installed new hoses, wheel cylinders and shoes. It was my first real big brake job, and I learned a lot that weekend.  I drove this car regularly for most of the time I owned it, as it was a daily driver. I even drove it in winter, but never in bad, wintry roads.
